Mangalam College of Engineering (MLM) stands supreme in the field of technical education with excellence and quality in education. In keeping with MLM's goal of excellence, the academic programs is supported by well experienced and dedicated faculty, which is committed to equip the student with knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today's rapidly changing world. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) in Kerala, MLM is promoted by the Mangalam Educational Society, with a mission to bring out leaders for a technology-driven environment.

About the Mechanical Engineering Department

The mechanical engineering department started in the year 2004, offers both undergraduate (B. Tech.) and postgraduate (M. Tech.) programmes. The annual intake of the B. Tech. programme is 90 students and that of the M. Tech. is 18. The department provides its students an environment that stimulates their intellectual growth and personality development. Infrastructure facilities are excellent with well-equipped labs, classrooms and libraries. Training programs conducted for the B. Tech. students throughout the course of their study by the Placement and Training Cell of our college and prepares them for a smooth transition from academia to the industry. Our students have secured very good results in the University examinations and they regularly participate in inter collegiate technical and cultural events.

About the Conference

ICAMET-2021 is an International Conference on Mechanical Engineering encompassing fields of Thermal engineering, Fluid mechanics, Material Science, Design and Manufacturing and related interdisciplinary sciences organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Mangalam College of Engineering. ICAMET-2021 will be held during May 27-28, 2021, at Mangalam College of Engineering, Kottayam. The conference will compose of multiple parallel sessions covering all the major themes and invited keynote lectures by eminent academicians and scientists from various fields.

Mechanical engineering is an ever-evolving field of science and technology. In recent years the field of mechanical engineering has made significant strides in fluidics, thermal engineering, material processing and design and also widened its scope into the realms of biotechnology, nanotechnology, robotics and smart and functional materials. This conference seeks to provide a common forum for researchers, scientists and engineers from these diverse fields of interdisciplinary sciences to discuss and exchange ideas with their peers. The conference will publish original research articles, review articles and feature articles in the conference proceedings book with ISBN number.


    Graduates will be able to solve the contemporary issues and challenges in mechanical engineering by applying their strong base in Mathematics, science and engineering.
    Graduates shall have a passion to engage in lifelong learning process through self study, continuing education and professional studies in engineering
